I posted this elsewhere but didn't really get an answer. Need a technical answer please. Yesterday on my drive to work, the CEL came on solid. Called OnStar and the diagnosis returned a code P000A. The shop told me later that the Cam positioning bracket had broken and the car was un-driveable until it's fixed or the bracket might completely break and fall into the internals.

I pretty much baby my car, Mobil1 oil changes at every 5,000miles or before religiously and do not race the car although I do drive sporty (mostly with the cruise set on).

Is this a delicate car? once they fix this am I due for more engine problems down the road?

Got her back today. Apologies for the panic, well, the service dept should be the ones apologizing they made it sound worse than it really was. The receipt says Oil screen on rear Camshaft Actuator was cracked. They replaced the actuator (I assume the screen was part of it) and she is running like a top again. Just a small part on the rear of the engine top, no biggie. I was under the impression that it was going to be major surgery. Shows what I know.
