This is ridiculous!!!  I was hoping someone in the community could help me out. I found a set of used snow tires and steel rims for 200.00 but they are 5 hours away. someone please help.

I did, I am waiting for a repley. do our rims fit a bunch of other gm and saab models? the guy I'm buying off of said that the rims and tires he has fit a bunch of other cars. does this sound right?  I have been out of the modding sceen for a while, when did gm come up with these other bolt patterns?

Be careful.  Naturally, bolt pattern is key, but so is the center bore and offset.  That's why TireRack doesn't have steel rims available on their site.  Center bore is important because if it's too small, obviously the wheel won't go on... Too big and the lug bolts are supporting the entire load, not a good thing.  Offset is important because if it's not within the range specified for the car, you may have clearance issues, either with the brake caliper or the wheel well opening.

The Astra steel rim seems to be unique to Astra in the U.S.  The bad news is that Saturn wants $150 per steelie ($42 for the stock 16" wheel cover), so finding an Astra owner who wants to sell is the way to go.  The good news is that Saturn charges only $14 for a TPMS sensor plus $2 for a securing nut (they're sold seperately). That's $64 total for a complete set of four sensors, which is waaay cheaper than TireRack charges.

Good Luck!
