Did you have the wheels crated and shipped or just boxed and shipped individually?
What kind of cost were you looking at to ship overseas?

Cant wait for pics.

They were boxed individually and then those boxes were put inside another box. Was about $300 for the 120lbs box from the UK to San Diego.

You said that is a custom colour you came up with? Looks sharp, not quit a charcoal but not black.
I like it.

I know our standard wheels are painted silver, in my case the 18" Pentas. What is involved for the body shop to paint our wheels? Do they need to strip or sand off the old paint? Is the paint specifically for wheels?

I will be removing my 18's pretty soon and putting on my winters so maybe paint is in the works. Which also means I would have to get my winter wheels painted when they come off in spring. I picked up a set of the Astra 16" 5door XR wheels to use for winter. Got them for the same price as new steelies.

Cant wait to see those wheels on the car. Really like your wheel choice.

It's actually a charcoal / brown / blackish color, depending on the lighting angle.

Since the wheels came with paint on them already, the best primer to use is the existing paint. So we scuffed them, and sealed them, and then painted them. All using Glasurit automotive paint, nothing specifically for wheels however.
