Finally got one imported. Of course, with our U.S. bumper it doesnt really bolt right up, and I had to modify to get it to work. And even now, it doesn't fit like the stock one does, but I was pretty tired of the stock grille. Plus, I can always go back if I get tired of this one too Smiley

I'm not 100% in love with it, but I think it works pretty decently

It's not bad. I personally prefer the Irmscher grilles for the Astra... though I think it makes it look a bit too much like a Vectra sometimes.

Sorry to bring a thread back from the dead...

I'm really interested in throwing one of the badgeless grilles on my car, but I'm very well aware of the incompatibility.

You mentioned that the grille can be modified to fit, and it doesn't fit quite perfectly. Is there a possibility that you could elaborate a bit? This badgeless option looks to be the most cost effective way of getting rid of the Saturn grille, and an easier start to my Holden transformation  Cool

Mr. Clarkson,

Would you say the fit of the grill after the modification was good enough to pass muster?

You seem like a very thorough fellow when it comes to installing parts and not really one to let little details or unsightly gaps go unnoticed.

The part will obviously not fit as well as the direct swap, this I understand, but I'd imagine a fit suitable to your standards would be more than manageable for me.

Thanks for your time!

it leaves a small gap at the bottom, as there's little holding down to the front of the bumper. it's not too bad, but slightly annoying.
